The Space Between Everything
Being annoyed, and trying not to be annoyed, by the gaps between making
To start, a quick question:
I ask you, because it’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot recently. I know that many people carry responsibility too heavily, myself included probably. Even if we don’t make lists, we have lists, and life clamours around us. In recent times we’ve added more pressure by asking ourselves not only have we tackled enough, achieved enough, completed enough, but also now we must ask have we said no enough, walked away enough, been compassionate to ourselves enough.
In the perpetual juggle of trying to prioritise some time for thinking and making amongst our day to day lives, we do need to remind ourselves: We do have time. Unless we have no more time, or our time isn’t ever our own, then we do have time - we just need to spot it and grab it. But it’s really hard sometimes to remember that, especially, as I keep saying, when the urge to make can be such a quiet voice.
